“Chimpui: Eri-sama’s Good Luck” is an entirely original animation produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the manga “Chimpui” this year. Misaki Kuno, the voice of Kasuga Eri by Megumi Han, and the voice of Wanda Yu by Kouichi Yamadera play the voice of Chimpui. The director is animation director Nobutaka Yoda, who has worked on the opening theme for the TV anime “Doraemon,” and the character design is by Naoyuki Asano, who has worked on “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the New Steel Troops: Winged Angels.”
Zhuangzi, who is in charge of the music for this film, commented, “Just like Eli-chan, who rebels against the stereotypical Cinderella story, it’s not easy to follow, but you’ll naturally fall in love with its unrestrainedness.
