From Slam Dunk, Kimetsu no Yaiba, and even ‘Suzume no Tojiri’. Japanese anime films that capture the hearts of Korean audiences

The movie “World Tour Screening’ Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ‘Concentration of the First Quarters and To the Swordsmith’s Village” rose to number one on the first day of its release in Korea, and the popularity of Japanese animation movies continues.

“Suzume no Tojimemari” is set to be released in South Korea on March 8, and the popularity of Japanese anime is expected to continue on the back of the blockbuster “THE FIRST SLAM DUNK.”

According to the movie promotion committee’s integrated network of movie theater tickets on March 3, the Japanese anime movie “Kimetsu no Yaiba,” released on March 2, and to the swordsmith’s village, was 6. It mobilized 4,955 people and ranked first in the daily box office.

“‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Gathering of Kagetsu, and to the Swordsmith’s Village” includes:

  • The climax of the red-light district and the first episode of the swordsmith’s village.
  • The gathering of “Kageru.”
  • The battle and journey of Tanjiro and his party.

We look forward to seeing how many spectators can be drawn from the opening weekend on March 3 to the first weekend.

‘Slam Dunk,’ released in January, held the top spot in the daily box office for 19 days from January 27 to February 14. Then, on February 28, it regained the top spot again, with 3,728,728 spectators.
