The final chapter of the TV anime series “My Hero Academia” (commonly known as “Hiroaka”), “My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON” (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV, every Saturday at 5:30 pm), episode 10 (169th episode overall), “Girls Who Like Smiles”, will be broadcast on the 6th. Before this, the episode 10 synopsis, preview cuts, and a 30-second trailer were released on the 4th.
This series is based on the hugely popular manga by Kohei Horikoshi, which ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine for 10 years from 2014 to 2024. Set in a world where people with supernatural abilities known as “Quirks” are commonplace, this hero action story follows the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya (aka “Deku”), and his friends at the prestigious hero-training School, U.A.
High School, as they grow into heroes who protect society and fight against criminals who exploit their quirks. The series has aired 7 seasons since its 2016 debut, with the “Final Season” marking the 8th.
In episode 10, amid ongoing reports of Shigaraki, who has terrorized Japan, Deku meets with Spinner, a member of the League of Villains, who is currently in custody. Amidst changes in people and society, a new school year begins at U.A. High School, with Deku and his classmates entering their second year. While busy with school life and the city’s reconstruction efforts, Deku starts to sense something strange about Ochako.
Having defeated the evil All For One, Class 1-A and his classmates return to U.A. High School after the ninth episode of the final season (No. 168) aired last week. It was a long-awaited episode, filled with smiles. Furthermore, the family drama of one of the main characters, Shoto Todoroki, is also resolved. As the epilogue unfolds, attention turns to Ochaco Uraraka’s feelings this time around.
