It has been revealed that the members of the theater company Europe Kikaku, led by Makoto Ueda, the original draftsman and scriptwriter, will appear in the anime “Yojohan Time Machine Blues.”
The members of the European project will play the residents of Shimogamo Yuusuisou 25 years after the main character “I.”
In addition to Ueda, who is taking on the challenge for the first time, the voice acting is performed by Gota Ishida, Yoshifumi Sakai, Kazunari Tosa, Munenori Nagano, and Riki Honda, who also appeared in the stage play “Summer Time Machine Blues.” Honda played two roles, Tamura, who comes to the current Shimogamo Yuusuisou in a time machine.
Originally, Ueda was not scheduled to appear, but Yusuke Nakamura, the original character designer, said, “I wanted him to appear, and he was hired.” Ueda said, “All the cast members went to the post-recording, and it was a situation where the European project gave the voices to the characters who had the face of the European project. So it might be an experience similar to the eerie encounter with ourselves in a time machine. ‘ commented.
In addition, screening plans for related works commemorating the release of “Yojohan Time Machine Blues” have also been revealed. “The Night is Short, Walk on Girl” will be screened on October 4, and “Summer Time Machine Blues” will be screened at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas in Tokyo on October 5. After that, the event will be decided. Please check the Filmarks screening project “Pre-ticket” page for more details.
Comment from Yusuke Nakamura (character designer)
Actors from the European project also appeared in the theatrical and movie version of “Summertime Machine Blues,” which is the basis of this work. It was a lot of fun creating them as characters because they all have their individuality, just like Masayoshi Choujin and Kimen-gumi.
In this work, Mr. Riki Honda, who originally played the role of “Tamura-Kun,” became an independent character. Mr. Makoto Ueda didn’t have an offer, but he wanted me to appear, and he was hired. The future is something you have to seize.
Comment from Makoto Ueda (original draft/screenplay)
I never thought there was a worldline that could live in this world. Master Higuchi taught me that what defines us is an impossibility, but this time, I couldn’t help but think that the world is full of possibilities.
All the cast members participated in the post-recording, and it was a situation in the European project that gave the voices to the characters who had the face of the European project. It may be an experience similar to the eerie encounter with ourselves in a time machine.
