The ‘2022 Inclusive Festival’ is held for foreigners in Korea.
The festival will be held at the Jamsil Sports Complex auxiliary stadium on the 2nd of next month at the earliest by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency on the 23rd. Eighty members of the ‘2022 Global Cultural Planning Group’, consisting of international students from 15 countries worldwide, will lead the festival. They put their heads together and planned various activities such as performances, experiences, and quizzes.
The event kicks off with ‘Unboxing Surroundings,’ in which the members of Auri show performances prepared through a two-month capacity-building program. The members perform K-pop, Taekwonmu, Samulnori, fan dance, and folk songs (Chosun pop).
A member of the Samulnori team expressed anticipation ahead of the festival, saying, “I am very honored to be able to show my Korean cultural performances to other foreign friends.” Likewise, a member of the fan dance team said, “It was enjoyable to try Korean dance that looked beautiful but difficult while watching historical dramas.”
At ‘K-Culture Ground,’ festival participants can learn and experience five Korean cultures, including tradition and Hallyu, together with the members. At the audience participation corner ‘Play K Culture,’ you can enjoy quizzes and stage events with prizes such as K-pop concert tickets and temple stay experience tickets.
At the Arugi Festival, not only the performances of the members but also the opening parade of the traditional Korean pungmul ‘The Clown,’ a celebratory performance of the Thai four-member girl group ‘Roseberry,’ which had special training for four months in Korea, and a K-pop DJing party, etc. have been prepared.
We also operate ‘Sharing Inclusion,’ a space where you can make folk paintings, fans, hats, joked Uri, mortgage yourself, and experience Hangeul tattoos, caricatures, and world costumes.
This festival will be held in conjunction with the ‘Korean Culture Festival,’ a global Hallyu festival across Seoul from the 30th to the 8th of next month.
Koreans and foreigners can freely participate in the Aurgi Festival at the site. Pre-registration for foreign nationals will be held until the 30th of this month. Foreign participants who complete the pre-registration within the period will be allowed to participate in the popular K-pop boy group ‘Talk & Stage’ held at the Korean Cultural Festival. Koreans who have visited the festival can also join on a first-come, first-served basis through stamp events, etc.
