K-pop group ‘CRAVITY’ introduces Korean culture to the world. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s Overseas Culture Promotion Agency announced on the 15th that it had selected the 9-member K-pop group CRAVITY as this year’s ‘Korean culture overseas ambassador’ and presented a letter of appointment at the KOSIS Center.
‘CRAVITY’ plans to participate in various activities to promote our culture to the world, starting with upgrading the contest hosted by Hae Moon Hong. This appointment ceremony was broadcast live on the Korea.net YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/GatewaytoKorea).

Since 2014, Hae Moon-hong has been promoting Korean culture abroad by selecting a K-pop idol group with high overseas recognition and growth potential as a promotional model or ambassador for the contest. Idol groups appointed as public relations ambassadors have also established themselves as a successful model for public-private cooperation, using Hae Moon-hong’s support as a stepping stone to develop themselves as world-class stars widely loved abroad.
The contest, which marks its ninth anniversary this year, will be held from the 15th to the 31st of October for foreigners residing at home and abroad.
