Group NewJeans’ debut song ‘Cookie’ was selected as one of the year’s best songs by the New York Times.

New Jeans’ debut song, “Cookie,” was included in the “Best Song of 2022” announced by the New York Times (NYT) on the 7th (local time). Among the 70 songs selected for the New York Times’ ‘2022 Best Song’, ‘Cookie’ is the only K-pop song.

‘2022 Best Song’ was selected by three famous music critics. Jon Caramanica ranked ‘Cookie’ in 11th place and praised it, saying, “‘Cookie,’ the best song on the debut album of the impressive K-pop girl group New Jeans, stands out for its modest comfort.”
