TikTok will participate as the title sponsor of the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (2021 MAMA), Asia’s most significant music awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on the 11th at 6 pm (Korean time), adding to the joy of fans around the world with voting events and exclusive short-form videos.
At the 2021 MAMA, in which TikTok participates as the title sponsor, four grand prize categories will be awarded along with the ‘TikTok’ title: △Singer of the Year △Album of the Year △Song of the Year △Worldwide Icon.
In particular, this 2021 MAMA draws more attention by establishing a special prize for the ‘TikTok Favorite Moment’ along with TikTok. This year’s award is to select the best video out of 20 short-form videos uploaded by K-pop artists on TikTok, and fierce competition is expected among content loved by K-pop fans around the world. Anyone can vote once a day on TikTok from the 25th to the 8th of next month.
On the day of the awards ceremony, various short-form videos such as the TikTok Zone video on the red carpet of the participating artists and the special backstage TikTok video of the winners will be exclusively released through the 2021 MAMA TikTok account.
Meanwhile, in addition to the 2021 MAMA, TikTok is participating in this year’s Baeksang Arts Awards and Blue Dragon Film Awards as a sponsor and is also participating in the major domestic and international awards ceremony, such as holding exclusive voting for the recently held 2021 American Music Awards (AMA).
Baek Seon-ah, head of marketing for TikTok Korea, said, “TikTok is a platform where artists can be discovered and popular. “TikTok will continue to create opportunities for the TikTok community to enjoy through a variety of partnerships and content,” he said.
TikTok is running a brand campaign under the slogan “Just enjoy it like you” content is presented.
