“Fanworks” has decided to produce an anime PV for the famous NFT work “CryptoNinja”!
On January 31, 2022, Tokyo Otaku Mode Co., Ltd. (Representative: Emperor Odaka, TOM) became popular in collaboration with Tsukurie Co., Ltd., THE BATTLE Co., Ltd., and Fanworks Co., Ltd. with a ninja motif from Japan. We have launched a joint animation production project based on the NFT work “CryptoNinja.” This animation production joint project aims to produce animations based on NFTs and conduct various demonstration experiments related to NFTs.
As the first step of the demonstration experiment, “Fanworks,” which is working on topical works of character animation such as “Zannennai Kimono Encyclopedia,” “Movie Sumikko Gurashi Aoi Tsukiyo no Mahou no Ko,” and “Aggressive Retsuko.” The production of the anime PV by Sumikko Gurashi has been decided. In the future, we plan to carry out various “NFT demonstration experiment projects” linked to the produced animation PV, and we will consider not only PV but also animation.
Recent trends in overseas NFT collections (BAYC, RTFKT, etc.) have created new IPs from NFT projects. In this demonstration experiment, we would like to utilize NFT to raise funds different from conventional animation production and create a new animation production mechanism from NFT and character IP creation.
The original “Crypto Ninja NFT” is an NFT work produced by influencer Ikeda and drawn by popular illustrator Rii2. The total NFT sales of the currently sold work are 159ETH (more than 50 million yen in Japanese yen * Today). It is the most active NFT project in Japan, where a little less than 10,000 fans and creators have already gathered in the work community to create secondary creations every day.
Currently, we are considering bottom-up content production that grows together with the existing community, such as providing free materials that enable secondary creation with scenes used in animation PV as “CC0” to this community. I am. We plan to explore a mechanism to expand the possibilities of character NFTs by utilizing “co-creation” services that encourage collaboration planning and secondary creation.
