‘Yowamushi Pedal’ stamps are on sale at post offices around the stage Sakura, Chiba

Japan Post Kanto Branch Office (Saitama City) will release original stamps of the TV animation “Yowamushi Pedal” set in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, from the 11th. The designs combine anime characters with famous places in the city and can be purchased at 77 post offices in Sakura City and nearby municipalities.

Yowamushi Pedal is based on a bicycle race, and the first season started broadcasting in 2013. The 5th season just started in October. In addition, Nineteen post offices in the city planned to sell original stamps saying, “We want to use this as an opportunity to liven up the region.”

There are five types of stamps, and anime characters are drawn on top of pictures of famous places in the city, such as Sakura Castle Ruins Park, Inbanuma Sunset Hills, and Former Hotta Residence. In addition, the mount uses a photo of Sakura Furusato Hiroba that appeared in the work.

A set of 5 types of 84-yen stamps and six clear cards costs 2,000 yen. Only 1300 sets will be sold. Inquiries should be directed to the Postal and Logistics Department of the Kanto Branch of Japan Post (048-600-1043).
