BTS’ J-Hope topped the K-Pop Radar Weekly Trending Chart of the K-Pop chart show ‘K-POP RADAR,’ which is broadcast across the United States.
The K-Pop Radar Weekly Trending Chart was released on the 15th. At the same time, the K-Pop-only chart program ‘K-Pop Radar’ was regularly organized as an American radio program for the first time in K-Pop history.
In the chart, BTS’ J-Hope, who recently gathered a lot of attention for his solo pre-release song, was selected as the main character.
The music video for J-Hope’s new song ‘MORE’ recorded 33.21 million views during the first week of K-Pop Radar’s July counting period (July 1, 2022 – July 7, 2022) and 160,000 views on Spotify. We added more than 2,000 followers.
According to K-Pop Radar, the average increase in Spotify followers of K-pop artists during the same period was confirmed to be about 2,400, realizing J-Hope’s hot popularity.
The number of followers on Instagram has also increased by about 268,000, continuing its hot popularity. This is a surprising increase compared to the increase in Instagram followers of K-pop artists by approximately 12,000 during the same period.
Regarding this, K-Pop Radar said, “As a member of BTS, despite being a pre-released song, it has collected a surprising level of the topic,” and “an artist who is expected to record a record.”
In the weekly trending chart released on ‘K-Pop Radar’ this week, TWICE’s Nayeon’s ‘POP!’ was still strong and ranked 3rd, and ENHYPEN’s ‘Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)’ )’ was ranked 4th.
‘K-Pop Radar’ is broadcast across the United States for one hour every Thursday at 8:00 pm ET through the SiriusXM channel, the largest satellite radio in North America, global media company 88 Rising, and the DJ is Jamie.
The K-Pop Radar Weekly Trending Chart announced on ‘K-Pop Radar’ is a chart produced by K-Pop Radar, a fandom data service of music startup Space Audi.
The K-Pop Radar Weekly Trending Chart is the only chart exclusively for K-Pop that is created based on data from major global platforms in line with the current situation of K-Pop, where more than 90% of it is consumed abroad. It is expected that the chart will be a fair and transparent chart by reflecting the number of views and release date of YouTube music videos, as well as the number of fandom changes occurring on major global platforms such as Twitter and Instagram Spotify follower growth.
