Group Red Velvet topped Blip’s K-Pop Radar Weekly Chart at the same time as their comeback.
Red Velvet’s ‘Queendom’ music video rose to the top with 37.98 million views in just five days during the 34th week of K-Pop Radar’s counting period (August 15 – August 21).
According to K-Pop Radar, ‘Queendom”s music video surpassed 10 million views in about 13 hours and shortened the record for the previously released song ‘Psycho’ by about 9 hours. This is the shortest record of exceeding 10 million views, achieved in the 7th year of their debut.
In response, K-Pop Radar said, “It seems to be a record that reflects the fans’ waiting during the complete hiatus of about two years.”
According to Red Velvet’s YouTube data analyzed by K-Pop Radar, Red Velvet had a total of 71 million views over the past seven days. Among them, Korea showed the highest popularity with 13%, followed by Indonesia with 10.9%, Vietnam with 8.1%, the Philippines with 8%, and Thailand with 6.6%. It can be seen that it is still popular in Southeast Asia, starting with Korea.
In addition, Tomorrow x Together’s ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’ music video recorded 13.14 million views and entered third place. Following this, CIX’s ‘WAVE’ recorded 12.85 million views, and CRAVITY’s ‘Gas Pedal’ recorded 7.6 million views, re-establishing a new position in 4th and 9th places, respectively.
