Hive idols, such as BTS and Seventeen, top 10 album sales in the US in the first half of 2022

Hive Labels artists showed off their tremendous power in the US record market.

According to the ‘2022 Annual Semi-Annual Report’ recently released by Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music) of the United States, BTS, SEVENTEEN, Tomorrow X Together, and N-Hyphen were ranked among the top 10 albums sold in the US in the first half of this year (based on single album physical CD). This album was released.

BTS was named the artist who sold the most albums in Korea and the United States in the first half of this year. BTS’ latest album ‘Proof’ released last month, climbed to the top with an overwhelming number of 328,000 copies.

Tomorrow x Together’s 4th mini album, ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’, released in May, ranked 4th with sales of 150,000. This album charted on the US Billboard’s main album chart, ‘Billboard 200’ for eight weeks in a row, continuing the record for the longest album charting on ‘Billboard 200’ among K-pop group albums released this year.

Seventeen took 8th place with their 4th full-length album, ‘Face the Sun’. This album was also selected as ‘Best K-Pop Songs and Albums of 2022’ by TIME in the US, confirming that Seventeen is receiving attention in the US market both musically and in terms of sales performance.

Also, Nhyphen’s 1st full-length repackage album ‘DIMENSION: ANSWER’ was ranked 10th. In particular, N-Hypheneun proved the value of the name of a ‘Global K-Pop Rising Star’ by setting the record for the most miniature annual artist among K-pop artists who ranked in the top 10 album sales in the US in the first half of Luminate.
