‘2021 Seoul International Travel Mart X Seoul Medical Tourism International Travel Mart’, which was held to recover the tourism industry contracted by Corona 19 and to preoccupy the future tourism market, achieved valuable results despite the slump in the tourism industry.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 29th that a total of 637 tourism companies (278 in 40 countries, 359 in Korea) participated in the Travel Mart online and offline from the 26th of last month to the 5th of this month with the Seoul Tourism Organization.
Business consultations were conducted online to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and a total of 1,841 cases were recorded.
In particular, participants’ satisfaction with this year’s Travel Mart event was high. 97% of overseas participants and 90% of domestic participants showed more than ‘satisfaction with this event.
The possibility of signing a contract in the future also had a high response rate (96% overseas, 69% domestic) of ‘high’ or higher.
In addition, at the Travel Mart event, tourism and medical tourism market trends in the post-corona era tour programs such as K-pop and Hallyu attraction of wellness-related tourists such as medical tourism and meditation were actively discussed.
Choi Gyeong-ju, director of the Seoul Tourism and Sports Bureau, said, “With this event as an opportunity, we will actively support the rapid recovery of tourism demand in Seoul when travel resumes next year.”
