Singer Younha’s new album’ END THEORY’ was selected as the ‘Best K-Pop Album’ by Time Magazine.
Time magazine, an American weekly magazine, announced ‘The Best K-Pop Songs and Albums of 2021’ on the official website on the 8th (local time). Among them, Younha’s sixth full-length album, ‘ END THEORY’ released last month, was listed on ‘Best K-Pop Album.’
Time magazine described Younha as “a singer-songwriter with a heavenly voice,” and “It fits very well that the new album’s title song is ‘Sculpture of the Star.’ Because of his upbeat, angelic tone, it reminds me of a more magical cosmic scene.”
He continued, “The clear common denominator of ‘END THEORY’ is Younha’s standout appearance. Whether it’s a heavy electronic production (‘PRRW’), moderate acoustic guitar playing (‘Oort Cloud’), or simple piano chords (‘Stardust’), her voice is engraved with a star everywhere.”
‘END THEORY’ is Younha’s first full album in about four years since her 5th regular album, ‘RescuE,’ released in December 2017. In particular, at the same time as the release, a total of 11 songs, including the title song ‘Fragment of the Star,’ ‘PRRW,’ ‘Water Journey,’ ‘I have a plan,’ ‘Oort Cloud,’ ‘Glitter, Shine,’ etc. All of the songs on the album topped the charts, proving the power of a representative vocalist who can be trusted and listened to.
On the other hand, Younha will hold the ‘2021 Younha Year-end Concert END THEORY’ at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park for three days from the 10th to the 12th and have a special meeting with fans.
