K-Pop superstars BTS has been ruling the music charts with their brand new singles ‘Butter’ and ‘Permission to Dance.’ For band members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, it has been eight long years since they set out on their road to world domination.
Before that, the boys have made no secret about their humble beginnings and life before gaining superstardom.
There have been moments when the Bangtan boys spilled their hearts out with ARMY and shared some of their worst and best moments.
Talking about one such incident was V, a.k.a Kim Taehyung, who opened up about an incident of bullying he experienced in his elementary school.
V recalled how his friend bullied him out of envy during his school days during one live broadcast. His friend invited him to his birthday party but gave him the wrong location for fun. V waited at the given site for hours, but obviously, nobody turned up. However, when he later learned about the actual party spot, he reached the venue, wished his friend, gave him the present, and left. Being very upset about what happened, V sobbed his way back home.
While narrating the incident, V revealed, “I didn’t know where to go, so I waited outside for three hours with the gift certificate while trying to figure out where I should go. I went there and gave him the present, and I said, ‘It’s time for me to go home now, so I’m going to leave.’ and left. I remember crying so hard as I walked home.”
Moreover, he later got to know that his friend bullied him because he was jealous of him. Though two years after the incident, his friend realized his mistake and sincerely apologized to him.
With ‘Butter’ ruling the charts for seven straight weeks, BTS added a new record to their name. Besides being the first K-Pop band to achieve this colossal feat, their song is only the eighth track in music history to be on the number one spot for this long.
